Your initial Fort Collins dental exam with Spring Creek Dental will typically last about one hour and include the following:
1) Examination of Diagnostic X-Rays (Radiographs)
Essential for detection of decay, tumors, cysts, and bone loss. X-rays also help determine tooth and root positions.
2) Oral Cancer Screening
Your Fort Collins dentist will check the face, neck, lips, tongue, throat, tissues, and gums for any signs of oral cancer.
3) Gum Disease Evaluation
Your Fort Collins dentist will check the gums and bone around the teeth for any signs of periodontal disease.
4) Examination of Tooth Decay
All tooth surfaces will be checked for decay with special dental instruments.
5) Examination of Existing Dental Restorations
Your Fort Collins dentist will check current fillings, crowns, etc.

Dental Polishing
Remove stain and plaque that is not otherwise removed during tooth brushing and scaling.
